New Discoveries sells one-of-a-kind home accessories, gifts, and jewelry, including pottery, glass works, photography, metal works, paper goods, wood works, and paintings. New Discoveries represents new artists and artisans and provides a local outlet for established artists and artisans who may be new to the Chicago market.

Laura Davis, the owner and visionary behind New Discoveries, has been asked: What do you mean by “from a dream in the desert to reality on Roscoe?”

After leaving the corporate world and spending time taking advantage of life's adventures, Laura was looking for the next step on her journey. One day, while hiking across the Arizona desert, she had an awakening: “you love art, you love finding new and different artists and artisans, you love giving thoughtful pieces to friends and family as presents. Why not combine these passions with your business background and open your own gallery?” The idea of New Discoveries was born.

Laura has always been a collector, seeking out artists whose art embodies the feeling of the areas where she has traveled and finding unique pieces to commemorate those trips. She has always appreciated artists and artisans for their creativity, their amazing spirit and dedication to their craft. She has also loved to exercise her own creativity, trying everything from photography to glass blowing. So, the leap from business consultant to gallery owner was not as big as one might imagine.

Now after months of hard work and lots of fun, New Discoveries is a reality and located at 2236 W Roscoe St in Chicago and here on the web.
